My images
I took my images of willow house, in Walthamstow. There wasn't much opportunity for travel, so I chose something local as a last resort. It's not a very tall building, unlike other subjects such as the Barbican, but there was still plenty afforded to me by it's shape. The long, repeated stretches of windows lended themselves well to horizontal shots, and I was able to get a good vertical perspective from the corners of the building. One thing to keep in mind about my pictures is that the environment has more of a presence than in other brutalist images. This was partially due to the location, but it was also because of my own interests; I liked using the environment to contextualise the image.
